Deputies locate several dogs deceased or in poor health on Polk County property

NEAR BRIGHTON, Mo. (KY3) – Polk County deputies located several dogs deceased or in poor health after a raid of the property on Friday.

The sheriff’s office received a tip of extreme abuse and neglect of several dogs. Deptuies executed a search warrant at the property north of the Greene County line in the 5600 block of State Highway 13 near Brighton.

Deputies made one arrest in the case. Sheriff Morrison said, “his office will not put up with this type of abuse.”

The Missouri Humane Society is assisting in the case.
