Two dogs were found lifeless and hanging from a tree in a Florida backyard, leading to the arrest of their owner.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLCSO) said that on Sunday evening, deputies responded to a home in Fort Pierce regarding a civil matter.

When deputies arrived at 5:29 p.m., they reported finding two lifeless dogs hanging from a tree in the backyard.

SLCSO said that the dogs, male and female, were bound by their necks using multiple materials, including ropes, chains, and cables.

Detectives obtained a search warrant on Monday morning for the home owned by Salomon Cruz-Perez.

With the continued investigation detectives determined the dogs were bound with coaxial cable, paracord, tie-down straps, and chains.

The dead dogs have been collected by St. Lucie County Animal Control and will be sent to Orlando for a necropsy. Officials said that this examination aims to clarify the cause and circumstances of their deaths.

Cruz-Perez, 40, has been accused of two counts of aggravated animal cruelty resulting in death.

He is currently being held at the St. Lucie County Jail, with a bond set at $60,000.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
