A common theme one pet parent noticed from the weekly photos she received from the dog walker immediately broke the internet’s heart.
Owner Lissa, who is known on TikTok as @lissa6298, told Newsweek that her dog Peanut gets walked about once a week by a dog walker. This dog walker takes out several canines at a time and will send photos to the clients during the walks, which means Lissa will receive a photo of Peanut and the other canines each week.
In the pictures, which she shared in a March 14 video, the dogs are usually seated and huddled together next to their walking route or while taking a break in the field. Lissa almost instantly noticed a common theme in each photo—Peanut always stood away from the other dogs.
One photo after the next showed Peanut off to the side and typically toward the back. He usually sat alone while the other dogs stuck together. This worried Lissa, as she wondered whether he enjoyed his walks.
She expressed more concern in the caption: “Actually makes me so sad I hope he has friends.”

As much as it broke her heart to see Peanut looking anti-social, Lissa wasn’t too surprised. She said: “He is older now so doesn’t really like to play with younger dogs.”
Plus, she assured viewers in the comment section, Peanut does have a friend named Basil in the group of dogs. These photos, however, did not include Basil.
TikTok Reacts
Viewers were immediately brought to tears, and within four days, the TikTok video went viral, bringing in over 16 million views, 2.6 million likes and 22,300 comments.
“This has devastated me beyond comprehension,” said one person, while another added: “He’s just an independent king, nothing wrong with that.”
Hoping to reassure Lissa, a third person wrote: “I’m a dog walker and there are a lot of dogs that LOOOVEEEE to just be there, they don’t interact with the other dogs much but they still enjoy being a part of the group.”
A debate broke out over why Peanut appeared to not be accepted by the other canines. People blamed the sweater. Lissa said he needed to wear it because of how cold it gets during Scotland winters.
“They’re just jealous he pulls off that sweater better than they ever could,” someone commented in support.
