Young boy attacked, dragged by 2 dogs, neighbors say

MANCHESTER, N.H. (WMUR) – A boy is recovering after he was attacked and injured by two dogs in New Hampshire.

Witnesses are describing the terrifying moments when they saw two dogs attacking a young boy.

“I was on the back porch, and what was screaming? I seen the dog grab him. So I had to do something,” Eric Harnum said.

Harnum, who was in the neighborhood visiting a friend, stepped in to rescue the boy.

“I kept beating them over the head with a shovel,” he said.

When Harnum got there, he said a Rottweiler was attacking the child and a pitbull was tangled with another person who was trying to save the child.

Rebecca Meattey lives right across the street from where it happened. She believes the young boy might have gone into the neighbor’s yard to retrieve a ball.

“He’s just always down here by that little park right there,” she said.

Several witnesses believe the boy was dragged a short distance.

“I kind of just sat there with him and helped him keep his arm up until the cops and the ambulance came,” she said.

Meattey said in that split second, she knew she had to step in.

“Nobody was by his side at that time, so I just went over there. I could see that he was bleeding really, really bad,” she said. “I just want to make sure he was OK.”

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
