LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. (CBS12) — Palm Beach County deputies were called to a Loxahatchee home where they discovered a lifeless Yorkie and three other dogs in crates full of feces and urine, resulting in the arrest of their owner.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) responded to a call on Wednesday regarding a possible dead dog at a residence on Temple Boulevard.
Upon arrival, deputies noticed several dogs inside the home, including a 13-year-old Yorkshire Terrier named Baby, who showed no signs of life.
When the owner, Jason Faroni, 39, arrived at the scene hours later, deputies gained access to the home, which was filled with the overwhelming smell of urine and feces. They discovered Baby deceased in a crate surrounded by waste.
Inspecting further, the deputies found three additional dogs confined in crates. Among them was Mossy, a 2-year-old brown brindle dog, who was in a critical state—extremely emaciated and lying in her waste with no food or water in sight. Although she showed faint eye movement, she was too weak to stand.

Also discovered were Sig, a 4-year-old black Malinois, and Ruger, a 5 to 7-year-old black Rottweiler. Both were found in similar conditions, trapped in crates filled with urine and feces, with no access to food or water.
During discussions with deputies, Faroni revealed that his home had been without running water or electricity for approximately three weeks.
PBSO seized all four dogs from the property and Faroni has been accused of aggravated animal cruelty, six counts of unnecessary overload and deprivation of care, and four counts of impounding animals without sufficient food or water.
