The Splash Splash Adoption Bash is a half-price dog sale at the York County SPCA Sunday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The York County SPCA has been operating at capacity for dogs of all sizes, and they hope this event will offer a special opportunity for the public to meet potential pets and make a connection that will last a lifetime.
Dog adoption fees are waived in order to help them find their forever homes.
All interested adopters can submit a general dog adoption questionnaire at ycspca.org. Or search the dogs directly via the website and link an application the directory of dogs at the shelter.
Guests are invited to browse the kennel if they are unsure who they want to meet. Many of the adoptable dogs are currently in foster homes. While they will have a few foster dogs present at the shelter for the event, most will still be in their foster homes. If you are interested in an available foster, fill out an application and schedule a separate appointment with staff to meet with them.
While most dogs will be ready to go home on the event day, some may need to be picked up later due to necessary vaccinations, spaying/neutering or medical care. The SPCA only accepts cashless payments for dog licenses, collars and leashes.
Typical pricing before the 50 percent off sale for dogs six months or younger and adult, small Dogs (25 pounds or less) is $275. Adult, Large Dogs (Older than 7 months and more than 25 pounds) is $150.
