TOWN OF WATSON, New York (WWNY) – A couple of weeks ago we told you about a four-month-long journey to capture a stray dog that had been shot.
The sad story has a happy ending.
Croghan Dog Control got a call about the pooch back in March. Immediately Jay Steiner and his wife jumped into action.
After four months of attempting to catch the dog with kennels and treats, the little guy showed up.
It turns out he was suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.
He was nursed back to health and given the name Grizz.
The Lewis County Humane Society took him in, and late last week he was adopted.
