CCTV captured the incident which occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning (February 23) at Milton Road in Great Yarmouth.
The footage showed a man wearing a balaclava smashing his way into the woman’s Ford Fiesta and stealing a Louis Vuitton handbag at about 6.20am.

A balaclava-clad man is pictured breaking into a parked Ford Fiesta and stealing two handbags in Milton Road, Great Yarmouth (Image: Submitted) He is then seen leaving the road before returning at around 6.50am wearing a different jumper and with a balaclava on when he returns to the car and steals another Louis Vuitton handbag.
One of the bags that was stolen contained the victim’s purse which had money in it.

The victim said: “I work hard and whoever has done this has completely hurt my heart.
“I am so anxious now, and with every noise I hear outside I look, it’s terrible and I was left petrified.
“I know people are going to moan and say I shouldn’t have left things in my car but we all do it and I didn’t think someone would come and ruin my personal things like my car and take my stuff.”
Norfolk police have confirmed that they are investigating the incident.
They urge anybody with any information to get in touch with them and quote crime reference number: 36/13021/25.
