Woman hospitalized after being bitten by family dog in Oakland Park

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. – A Broward County woman was treated at the hospital after an reports of a dog attack.

It happened just after 2 p.m. on Sunday along the 500 block of Northeast 51st Street in Oakland Park.

Deputies said they were called in reference to an animal bite.

Upon arrival, deputies found one victim who was taken to a nearby hospital.

Authorities said multiple dogs were contained at the scene, after which they were taken into custody by animal control.

All the dogs were owned by family members, authorities said.
