EAST POINT, Ga. — A dog owner who has two French bulldogs says a group of thieves stole them from her at gunpoint.
The dogs were playing in her fenced-in backyard in the middle of the day when it happened.
Their owner, who asked not to be identified, told Channel 2’s Tyisha Fernandes that she hopes some tips she passed along to police will help her find her babies.
She said she’s still in shock and she still sees the image in her head of three gunmen stealing the dogs.
“I come outside and there’s a guy right here trying to grab my dogs,” she told Fernandes, showing her where the men were standing.
The dog owner said it happened on Saturday around 4:30 p.m. She was letting the dogs run free in her fenced-in backyard in East Point when she heard a terrible sound.

“I was sitting on the couch right by the back door. I heard my dog screaming,” the woman said. “I jumped up and opened the door really fast and there was a man at my door trying to grab all my dogs. I’m like ‘Dude, what are you doing?’ And then he’s still scrambling to get my dogs and then I look up and another guy is pulling my dog over the fence. It just happened so fast.”
She said two of the thieves had guns in their hands and told her to shut up.
“I don’t know what they look like. They had ski masks on,” the dog owner said.
In October, she said someone tried to break into her house while she wasn’t home, but the dogs were.
“They tried to get through the windows, tried to unlock the door but they were locked, and they left,” the dog owner said.
She didn’t think her babies were the target, but she does now.
“I don’t care who it is, I just want my babies back. I don’t care what you look like, I just want them back safely,” the dog owner said.
That owner and her friends have been posting pictures of the dogs all over social media and some people said they saw some guys trying to sell some Frenchies at a gas station nearby.
The dogs are microchipped. If you know where these dogs are, you are asked to call police.
