WALKER, Mich. — A woman has been charged after 17 dogs were found to be living with her in her pickup truck.

The dogs’ owner, Carolyn Newsome, has been charged with failing to provide ten or more animals with adequate care.

The dogs were recovered Monday afternoon after a concerned citizen called 911. The pickup truck with the dogs had been parked at a Dollar Tree in Walker when they were spotted.

Deputies then recovered the dogs and took them to an animal shelter.

The dogs had been living in the truck with Newsome, according to deputies.

Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker said Newsome is facing a felony charge that could be punishable by four years in prison, a $5,000 fine and up to 500 hours of community service. Newsome could also be ordered not to own an animal.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
