Woman charged after 16 dogs found in ‘very deplorable conditions’ at Cocke County home

COSBY, Tenn. (WVLT) – A woman is facing several charges after numerous dogs were found in “very deplorable conditions” at a home in Cocke County.

On May 14, an animal control officer was dispatched to a home on English Mountain Road in Cosby for abandoned dogs, according to an incident report obtained by WVLT News.

On the scene, the officer spoke with the property owner, who said the tenant, identified as Jodi Rank, had rented the property but moved to Georgia and left behind 16 dogs.

When officials surveyed the conditions of the dogs, the report says there was no water or food, and they were surrounded by trash and feces.

The following day, deputies spent nearly five hours “wrestling” dogs and were able to capture 13 of them. They were then able to trap two others by May 16, leaving just one that hadn’t been caught.

Rank was charged with cruelty to animals.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
