Woman attacked while walking dog in Bellevue

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two men have been taken into custody after a woman was attacked with a fire extinguisher while walking her dog in Bellevue Sunday.

The attack happened near an apartment complex in the 600 block of Old Hickory Boulevard around 5:15 p.m.

The victim told officers she was walking her dog when she was approached by three males, one of whom was holding a fire extinguisher, according to court documents.

She told the group her dog was friendly and one of the men reportedly began to spray her and her dog with the fire extinguisher. The dog then ran away as the victim screamed, “why would you do that?”

According to an arrest warrant, one of the men pushed her down and began hitting her before they all ran away with her cell phone and car keys.

Witnesses to the attack confronted the suspects and one suspect reportedly gave the victim’s phone back to the good Samaritans.

Two of the suspects were soon located walking near the apartment complex. Officers found the victim’s car keys inside a bag carried by the suspects, according to arrest documents.

Queshon Demumbreum, 22, and Lamar Maddox, 18, were booked into the Metro jail and charged with felony robbery. Their bonds were set at $100,000 each.
