Woman And Two Dogs Killed In Ely House Fire

ELY, Minn. — Tragedy struck Tuesday night in Ely when a house fire took the lives of a woman and two dogs.

According to Friends of the Northland Fire-Wire, the fire was reported around 11 last night in the 200 block of North 5th Avenue East.

When fire crews arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from the two story home.

Upon searching the house they discovered a woman who was then rushed to the hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.

Ely Fire Chief Dave Marshall told the Northland Fire Wire that they were able to contain the fire to the first floor and basement, which is believed to be where the fire started.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
