The wife of Man Utd goalkeeper Andre Onana was robbed in the street of a £62,000 handbag and a Rolex watch, MailOnline can reveal.
Melanie Kamayou is understood to have been targeted in the picturesque village of Alderley Edge – dubbed the ‘Knightsbridge of the North’ – on March 29.
Sources said the robbery took place in the car park of an Italian restaurant.
The thief made off with her Hermes Birkin handbag and a Rolex watch.
Liam Ross, a 25-year-old from the Wibsey area of Bradford, has been charged with the high-value robbery.
He appeared before Chester Magistrates Court on Friday. He is also charged with supplying cannabis and will next appear before Chester Crown Court in May.
Ms Kamayou describes herself as a pharmacist, businesswoman and philanthropist on social media, where she regularly posts pictures of her glamorous life with the Cameroon international.
She also frequently posts pictures of herself posing with luxury handbags.

Hermes Birkin handbags are said to be the most difficult to procure in the world and can be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.
The most expensive Hermes Birkin bag sold for £1.5 million ($2 million).
Ms Kamayou has been married to Onana since 2023 and moved to the UK with him when he joined Man Utd from Inter in the summer of that year. They are reported to have a son together.
He has since appeared in goal 92 times for the club, most recently in their 1-0 loss away to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.

The couple have settled in a village which is known to be a popular spot for Premier League footballers.
Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney all lived in the area while playing for Manchester United.
More recently, the village has been home to Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling.
It is also home to some of the world’s most expensive supercars, which attract motor enthusiasts and photographers from across the country.
Cheshire Police were contacted for comment.
