BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A list of the top dog breeds in Louisiana has been released in honor of National Dog Day on Monday, Aug. 26.
Camp Bow Wow, a dog daycare and boarding company, used its database of “Campers” for 2024 and found the top breeds in each state. The daycare also released its annual list of the top five large and small dog breeds.
According to Camp Bow Wow, labrador retrievers topped the list for Louisiana. These dogs were also in the No. 1 spot for large breeds for the seventh year in a row.
Camp Bow Wow said dogs who attend camp on Aug. 26 will be entered for a chance to win $500 in Camp services and five lucky winners will receive $100 in Camp services.
