Based on Franklin County Auditor Michael Stinziano’s top dog names and breeds, mixed-breed dogs named Bella hold yet another year in the top spot.
According to dog licenses purchased this year, the same “human” names from last year remain the most popular.

The pride of being the home of the Ohio State Buckeyes remains strong with 409 dogs named Brutus and 202 named Buckeye.
Unique to this year, many anime-inspired many dog names from the “Dragon Ball” franchise, the “One Piece” manga series and even the Smurfs have made it on the list with the top names being Goku and Piccolo.
