West Valley couple pleads for dog’s safe return after terrifying car crash

The couple is offering a $3,000 reward for the safe return of their dog, Sadie.

BUCKEYE, Ariz. — A West Valley couple is hoping for a miracle after their dog ran away during a terrifying car crash.

Tammy Richey was on her way back from California to Verrado, driving on Interstate 10 near Blythe, when she was involved in a car crash. Richey told 12News her car flipped multiple times and she had to be airlifted to the hospital.

Richey is physically okay, she said, but she doesn’t remember anything from the car crash — including when her dog Sadie jumped out of the car.

A Good Samaritan who helped Richey out of her car told police they saw the dog run off into the desert.

Since the crash over a month ago, search parties have gone out with drones and food to look for Sadie, but she has yet to be found.

Sadie is a tan-colored multipoo and was last seen wearing a pink floral collar with no tags. Sadie is not microchipped.

Richey is offering a $3,000 reward to anyone who returns Sadie home safely. The best way to get in touch with the couple is by phone at 714-337-0291.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
