LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – Imagine a shelter being so far past its limit that it can’t take in anymore dogs.
That’s what the Logan County Animal Shelter says its facing this week after taking in 27 dogs this month alone. Right now, the shelter says it’s housing 68 dogs, and anymore than that would pose a danger to the shelter animals.
With no more empty cages, it’s time for some help.
The shelter is asking the community to step up and assist, whether that’s just sharing this information or ultimately adopting one of these sweet faces. (Click below to see the dogs currently for adoption).
The shelter says it is in a code black.
All dogs over four months old are $44, and all senior dogs are free.
To learn more or inquire about adoption, visit Logan County Animal Care and Control’s Facebook page or call 270-726-2186 during open business hours.
