Waukon man charged with animal neglect after two deceased dogs were found during welfare check

ALLAMAKEE COUNTY, Iowa (KTTC) – Nathaniel Coleman, 28, was arrested during a welfare check in Waukon uncovered two deceased dogs.

During the welfare check, ten dogs were found in Coleman’s residence, two of which were deceased.

Coleman was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant and the remaining eight living dogs were seized and transported to the Humane Society in Decorah.

Coleman is charged with one count of animal neglect, one count of inadequate care-animal in a commercial establishment, one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
