Ranger is the embodiment of the saying “If there’s a will, there’s a way.”
The 6-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer found a unique way to make a grand entrance at his home in Fairhope, Alabama, after he was sent out to relieve himself, the pup’s owner, Emma Horne, told USA TODAY.
“He was sent out to potty and left the kitchen, and suddenly he was back inside,” Horne said. “So, I put him back out and grabbed my camera, having a feeling was he was doing.”

Watch: Ranger jumps into home through kitchen window

Dog makes hilarious grand kitchen entrance through a window
Ranger the dog from Fairhope, Alabama, jumps through a window to get back inside after being put outside.
Horne’s instinct was right because the next moment, she captured video of Ranger climbing back into the house through the kitchen window.
Video shared by Horne shows the pooch, described as “loving and very spastic” by his owner, struggle with his hind legs as he climbs into the window. After regaining his balance, Ranger seemingly doesn’t know where to jump next and ends up with his front legs on the stove and his back legs on the kitchen counter. When someone in the background scolds him, the dog quickly jumps off the counter, knocking over a few bottles.
Ranger typically lets them know when “he’s ready to come inside,” according to Horne. For some reason, this time around, he “saw the opportunity with the window and took it,” she added.
However, as much as Ranger appeared to enjoy climbing in from the kitchen window, it is not a common occurrence, and he would probably not get the chance to do it again in the future because the window is usually kept shut, Horne said.
