Border collies are one of the most intelligent dog breeds, and are also full of energy, and all of these traits are visible in a viral TikTok clip shared on April 15 which has been viewed over 600,000 times.

Jennifer told Newsweek that when they first got Juniper as a puppy, “I thought I was prepared for the amount of energy and chaos a border collie brought since we had a high energy pitty. Boy, was I wrong.”

The video, shared to her account @jr.arts.and.farms, shows Juniper squirming, jumping and rolling on the ground as Jennifer gently accuses the pup of being “really bad lately.”

Pulling out a bag of empty gravy mix, Jennifer asks: “Is this the gravy mix you ate?” as Juniper sneezes, wags her tail, jumps up and down and shakes her head.

“You have no shame,” Jennifer says as Juniper continues squirming, wagging, and rolling on the floor, even as her owner points out: “You stole steaks last week, too.”

Jennifer wrote on the video that Juniper was “guilty as ever,” and added in the caption: “I have a criminal in my home.”

Both border collies and Labradors are intelligent, affectionate, and energetic dogs, according to the American Kennel Club, and a mix like Juniper is bound to be a character.

Speaking to Newsweek, Jennifer revealed the family have nicknamed the six-year-old collie Weasel, “because of her adorable squirmy worm personality.”

And despite Juniper stealing steaks and getting into gravy mix, “our life would be so boring without her happiness and chaos,” and “when a dog is that wiggly and smiley you can never be mad.”

She said: “The wiggles are pretty standard for her. She loves to smile and she definitely knows that smiling gets her out of trouble,” adding: “We try our best not to raise voices because she does have a timid side and gets nervous. When you tell her she’s been naughty she already knows!”

Animals lovers flocked to the video in their hundreds, with one writing: “They always start sneezing when they’re guilty like the lies are tryna escape their bodies lol.”

One praised Jennifer for how she was raising Juniper, writing: “I love how she’s not scared or afraid at all. You must be a great pet parent. That little doggo never have one sad day in her life.”

Another agreed: “Just pure joy and excitement, not an ounce of guilt,” while one user declared: “MY CLIENT IS INNOCENT.”

And one user spoke for everyone as they wrote: “That is one of the cutest dogs I have ever seen in my life.”

Jennifer said: “I honestly didn’t think anyone was going to watch the TikTok. It got around 10,000 views and the next day we were at 200,000 views which was incredible and funny. The comments were beyond funny.”

She added: “The best part about all of this is how much joy and happiness she has brought to so many people.”
