CREWS ARE OUT THERE IN FULL FORCE, CLEARING THE STREETS, THE SIDEWALKS. MANY FOLKS HAVE BEEN WORKING ALL DAY LONG TRYING TO KEEP UP WITH THINGS, AND THAT WORK AT TIMES TOO MUCH TO HANDLE WITH SALT TRUCKS FORCED TO FOCUS ON THOSE PRIORITY AREAS FIRST WLWT NEWS FIVE’S DANIELLE DINDAK SPENT THE DAY DOWNTOWN FOR US, CHECKING OUT THE CONDITIONS FOR US AND TALKING WITH PEOPLE WHO BRAVED THE COLD. THE DOGS ARE OUT HERE IN FULL FORCE. EVERYWHERE YOU GO, WE HAVE DOGS AND JACKETS, DOGS AND BOOTS, DOGS AND SWEATERS AND SO MUCH MORE OVER HERE. THIS IS MY NEW FRIEND, BRUCE. HE’S THE ONE SPORTING THIS NICE YELLOW JACKET. LOTS OF DOGS ALL OUT HERE, SOME TRULY ENJOYING THE WEATHER NO MATTER THE SHAPE OR THE SIZE. EVEN MILLIE, SHE’S SMALL, BUT SHE IS MIGHTY ENJOYING THIS WEATHER. BUT AS YOU CAN SEE, LOTS OF DOGS OUT HERE PLAYING IT SAFE, ENJOYING THIS WEATHER, KEEPING IT COOL. BUT IT HAS BEEN ALSO A VERY DANGEROUS DAY. IN FACT, OUR PHOTOGRAPHER AND I HELPED NOT ONLY A BUS, BUT MULTIPLE CARS THAT WERE STUCK TODAY IN THIS WEATHER. A LOT OF PEOPLE EVEN HAD TO GO TO WORK IN THIS WEATHER. SO TAKE A LISTEN TO WHAT MY NEW FRIEND MARCUS CALLOWAY HAD TO SAY ON HIS WAY TO WORK. THE COMMUTE. IT CAN. IT CAN BE WORSE, BUT AS LONG AS THE BUSSES ARE RUNNING, HEY, WE’LL MAKE IT TO WORK. SO YOU’RE TELLING ME IT ACTUALLY COULD BE WORSE THAN THIS? YEAH. IT COULD, YEAH, IT COULD BE. A major snowstorm blasted through the Greater Cincinnati region for more than 24 hours on Sunday and Monday, leaving roads covered in snow and widespread travel impacts.Snow began to taper off into Monday afternoon, but the impacts were felt from the storm around the region.It’s been one of the biggest snow storms in recent history, with some areas seeing up to 11 inches of snow.
