Vt. filmmaker to attempt world record for dogs attending a film screening

PARIS and RICHFORD, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont Olympian Elle St. Pierre Thursday punched her ticket to the Women’s 1500 meter final set for Saturday.
The Montgomery native finished third in her semifinal heat with a time of 3:59:74, allowing her to qualify for the finals. Faith Kipyegon of Kenya and Georgia Bell of Great Britain came in first and second.
She will race in the final with the other American runner who qualified, Nikki Hiltz, at 2:15 p.m. EST Saturday.
Back home in Franklin County, many friends, family members, and neighbors came out to support Elle at a watch party in the gym at Richford High School.
A few dozen supporters watched with nervous excitement as St. Pierre punched her ticket to the final. One of them was Annie Purrier, Elle’s mother. She said it has been overwhelming to see all the support.
“I mean look at all the people that are here,” she said. “Before everything started, I was talking to my other daughter that’s there, and she said, ‘Is there a lot of people there?’ ‘Yeah.’ ‘Well how many?’ I said, ‘more than there was at 4 o’clock in the morning (on Tuesday)!’ It’s exciting and it’s overwhelming.”

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
