Help make life a bit better for Detroit shelter dogs from the comfort of your home.

Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control (DACC) is looking for volunteers to make enrichment kits. Supply kits come with everything needed to make treats and toys for shelter animals – all you need to do is pick them up and bring them home.

Enrichment engages dogs physically and mentally, and is beneficial to animals, especially those in stressful shelter environments.

How to make enrichment kits

To help, visit DACC at 1431 E. Ferry in Detroit to pick up a gift.

Use the instructions in the kit to make a toy or treat, and then return it to DACC.

The animal shelter said this activity is good for all ages, making it great for families.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
