A woman and her two dogs were rescued Sunday from a partially frozen creek in Camden County, police said.
Police and firefighters were called to the Timber Creek Dog Park on Chews Landing Road in Blackwood around 1:45 p.m., authorities said. Responders saw the woman 35 feet from the shoreline and partially submerged in freezing water, according to a release from the Gloucester Township Police Department.
According to a report by NBC, the woman was at the park when her pets went into the water and she tried to save them while standing on ice, but fell into the water.
The crews used specialized equipment to pull the woman from the icy waters, authorities said.
It was unclear how far out the dogs were, but in body-camera footage released by the department, one of the dogs is seen closer to land.
The woman was given aid at the scene and then sent to Cooper University Hospital in Camden for further treatment, police said.
