Video of the Day: 101 dogs rescued from puppy mill

More than 100 dogs were rescued from a house operating as a puppy mill on June 10 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Animal control responded to a citizen’s notification about chickens on the property living in poor conditions. When they arrived at the residence they found dozens of dogs inside the house in “egregious” conditions. According to the Wake County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the dogs had been “surrounded by their own waste, packed five or six to a cage and stacked floor to ceiling, or free roaming in cramped quarters and filth.” The shelter continues to treat each dog’s needs, adding that many are suffering from skin and dental issues but will be evaluated and further treated before they are put up for adoption.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
