VFD: 2 dogs rescued, 2 people displaced after house goes up in flames in Valdosta Friday

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) – A house went up in flames in Valdosta early Friday morning, leaving two people displaced and two dogs rescued, according to the Valdosta Fire Department.

The incident unfolded just after 4 a.m. at 807 Smithbriar Drive, according to the fire department’s press release.

Firefighters arrived on the scene within five minutes and found heavy flames coming from the home.

Crews quickly controlled the fire, rescuing two dogs from the home, VFD said.

However, two people were displaced due to the fire.

No injuries were reported, firefighters said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
