West Plains, MO —
It’s almost here! The first-ever Paws For A Cause Pet Show and Festival will take place on May 3, 2025, at the West Plains Civic Center from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. All proceeds from this exciting event will go to Ozarks Pet Rescue to help animals in need of loving homes.
This family-friendly festival has something for everyone — and admission is completely free to come watch the pet show! You’ll find a wide variety of vendors to explore, from blacksmiths and baked goods to artwork, makeup, jewelry, and even 3D-printed critters. Kids can enjoy face painting and small carnival games, while everyone can join in on raffles, sample delicious food truck offerings, and, of course, watch the fun-filled pet show.
Want to show off your dog?
You can enter your dog into the pet show for just $10 — and that entry covers all categories, whether you choose one or several. The Best of Show winner will take home a $50 cash prize, generously provided by Starbarks Grooming and Pet Spa in Willow Springs.
The categories include:
- Best Agility
- Best Tricks
- Best Costume
- Dynamic Duo
- Adorable Adult
- Prettiest Pup
- Ugliest Dog
All categories come with prizes sponsored by Complete Canine Academy in West Plains. While the show is mostly for fun, the Best Agility category will have some friendly competition.
You can register your dog any time between now and the day of the event — just show up and sign in! Who knows? Your pup might walk away with a prize and bragging rights as the prettiest puppy in town.
So come on out, enjoy the fun, and help support animals in need!
If you’d like to donate a raffle item, volunteer to help, sign up your dog, or become a vendor, message the Ozarks Pet Rescue Facebook page.
