PREVIOUS STORY: Cleveland Animal Control will be putting down four dogs Tuesday afternoon at 2:00pm if they are not adopted or transferred to a rescue.
Meet #12, #19, #28, and #56.
The shelter said the female black lab mix, #12, has some skin issue or allergy, but has recovered from initial hair loss.
Dog #19, who goes by Cerberus, was released by the owner because they were getting a new roommate and could not keep the dog.
Niko, dog #28, was illegally dumped and found running to the shelter’s gate with his already adopted companion.
“He has been a good boy during his stay, but is depressed and would love a forever family,” Animal Control said in a Facebook post.
Lastly, dog #56, a female mix that was found on Tennessee Nursery Drive, is marked as urgent.
Each dog has recently lost weight, and developed some sores on their ankles from excessive chewing.
All adoption fees are $50, which includes a spaying or neutering operation, the first set of shots, deworming medicine, and a rabies vaccination.
There are dozens of other dogs available for adoption or rescue.
You can contact Animal Control directly at 423-559-3333 or visit during their business hours, Monday through Friday 12:00pm to 5:00pm and Saturday 10:00am to 12:00pm.
