From 2021 to 2024, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Ireland (509K units), Macao SAR (349K units) and Germany (281K units) were the main destinations of handbag exports from the UK, together comprising 38% of total exports.

From 2013 to 2023, the biggest increases were recorded for Macao SAR (with a CAGR of +75.8%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for handbag exported from the UK were Hong Kong SAR ($114M), Macao SAR ($80M) and the United States ($34M), with a combined 48% share of total exports.
