Tybee Police looking for two men after reports of strangling 1 dog, rounding up 4 others

TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WTOC) – The Tybee Island Police Department is looking for two men traveling in a large white utility van, accompanied by five dogs after gruesome reports of animal strangulation.

Saturday, Tybee Police said they went to a local dog park after reports of someone strangling an animal by its leash.

A caller told police that they watched a man hold a dog over a nearby fence and strangle it by holding it off the ground by its leash. The caller told police this continued for around seven seconds. When confronted, the man then allegedly broke two fence slats and pulled the dog through the hole in the fence.

Police said the man, along with his partner rounded up four other dogs, put them in their van and left the dog park.

In a social media post, the Tybee Island Police Department shared cell phone video of the incident provided by the caller.

The following social media video contains graphic depictions of animal abuse, police warn.

The police are now looking for these two men. If you have any information to share, you can contact the Tybee Island Police Department by calling (912)786-5600, or email Detective Erica Coreno at ecoreno@cityoftybee.gov.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
