Two people injured, dogs die in Trigg County house fire

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WSMV) – Two people were injured and their pets were killed in a house fire that broke out Monday morning outside Bowling Green, Kentucky.

According to WKDZ, a house on Beech Bend Drive caught fire, and when East Golden Pond Fire crews arrived, the home was already engulfed in flames. The two residents were able to escape but were injured in the process.

Firefighters told WKDZ that at least two dogs died in the fire, and the house was a total loss.

The extent of the residents’ injuries is unknown. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
