ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) -Elkhart Fire responded to a structure fire located at 2716 Roosevelt Avenue, on Sept. 21, before 2 a.m.
The fire was coming out of the north side of a home, when fire crews arrived.
The home was searched, and two occupants were found and transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Three dogs were also found inside and safely taken to a neighbor’s home.
The fire itself was brought under control after 2 a.m., and the home was ventilated of smoke.
Fire crews cleared the scene once investigation was complete, and showed the living room to be the area of origin for the fire.
