VASSALBORO, Maine (WABI) – Two dogs were rescued from a house fire in Vassalboro Tuesday afternoon.
Vassalboro Fire says they were called to North Belfast Avenue just before 2:30 p.m.
When crews arrived they say they saw smoke coming from the roof and attic vents.
That’s when officials realized it was a two unit building.
They say the fire started in the kitchen and that crews were able to put out the fire quickly.
Authorities tell us that no injuries were reported and the two dogs that were rescued appear to be okay.
The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
