The Troy Animal Rescue Project is looking for help after it says around 100 dogs were found inside a home.
The discovery was made Friday. The group says on Facebook that it will take days or weeks to handle the situation, trapping dogs that can’t be easily caught.
The group says the owner of the home is an elderly woman who is in the hospital suffering from lung cancer. Because of that, it says charges will not be brought against her.
The group says dogs have been found living in the walls, digging in the dirt and living in the nearby woods. It says the home is unlivable.
The Troy Animal Rescue Project is asking for help in caring for the dogs.
- You can text (334) 508-2367. Please do not call.
- If you are a foster home with any space at all, please send a message, if you can care for 1-2 dogs or bottle puppies. You must live within an hour of Troy.
- If you are a volunteer and can help get dogs back and forth from vet appointments next week, that would help.
- If you are a donor, the group needs funds and supplies. Donation info: 34 County Road 2266, Brundidge, AL 36010
- Supplies: puppy milk, puppy food, dog food, puppy pads, Capstar and wire crates are the main needs at the moment. The group needs funds for a tremendous amount of vet care.
