LYNDHURST, Ohio — A seven-point run between the first and second quarters propelled Garfield Heights to a 69-48 win Sunday against Canton McKinley at the Chet Mason Invitational at Brush High School.
Ohio State recruit Marcus Johnson scored 16 of his game-high 24 points in the fourth quarter, but the victorious Bulldogs (13-1) already had a double-digit lead by then. Their well-rounded performance included 14 points and four 3-pointers by senior guard D.J. Jackson, while Nasir Hines added eight points, eight rebounds and a block. Jayveion Carter led McKinley (12-4) with 14 points, while Jaylen Jeter added 11.
