TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – For the seventh year, dog owners will be able to renew or register their dog’s Lucas County dog license at the Toledo Library.
From now until Jan. 31, 2025, Lucas County residents with a dog 3 months of age or older can stop by any Toledo-Lucas County Public Library location to either renew or purchase a 2025 Lucas County dog license.
One-year dog licenses and renewals cost $25 per dog with an additional $0.75 processing fee. Cash or card will be accepted.
“The Toledo Library has served as an official Lucas County dog license vendor since 2017,” said Susan Roudebush, circulation and customer service coordinator at TLCPL. “As the go-to community connector, our partnership with the Auditor’s Office and Lucas County Canine Care and Control has made dog licensing more accessible for taxpayers.”
TLCPL says having a dog license helps LC4 officers reunite lost dogs with their owners. Licensed dogs can often be returned directly home or quickly identified if taken into LC4 custody.
