Three thieves steal 6 handbags worth HK$390,000 and HK$20,000 lighter from Sheung Shui village house

10th January 2025 – (Hong Kong) A burglary occurred in Sheung Shui early today, when a 45-year-old resident, Mr Lai, reported the theft at approximately 2.51am at a village house on Castle Peak Road – Kwu Tung. Upon arrival, police discovered that the three suspects had already fled the scene. Initial assessments indicated that a lighter valued at around HK$20,000 and six handbags worth a total of approximately HK$390,000 were missing. Investigations revealed that a door leading to the terrace had been forced open, and signs of a search were evident inside the property.

Subsequently, officers located the six stolen handbags at a nearby construction site. The case has been classified as a burglary, with the three suspects described as being aged between 30 and 35, all dressed in black tops and trousers. Police are actively pursuing the suspects for arrest.
