Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the 5800blk of Vandegrift Ave in Rockville at approximately 2:30pm on Saturday, July 13, for the report of a house fire.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire originated in the kitchen of the home and appears to be accidental. Three dogs were rescued from the heat and smoke and were transported by animal control to a veterinarian hospital.
There were no injures reported and one family will be likely be displaced. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available.
