Three dogs dead after attacking woman in Fairview: police

Halifax Regional Police say three dogs are dead after they attacked a woman in Fairview on Tuesday morning.

At roughly 8:40 a.m., officers responded to a report that three large dogs were attacking a woman at a home in the 0 to 100 block of Fredrick Street.

According to HRP, when police entered and attempted to save the woman, the dogs began attacking the officer.

As a result, the officer shot the dogs and they died at the scene.

Police said the woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

In an email to 95.7 NewsRadio, HRP Cst. Paul DesRochers says the dogs were “known” to the woman who was attacked and that she called police herself.

No other details have been released.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
