Thousands of dogs and over 175 different breeds competed in this ‘Total Dog’ show

Pretty pooches and their owners filled the Kalamazoo Expo Center and Fairgrounds Sunday.

United Kennel Club (UKC) brought together over 175 different dog breeds for their UKC Premier Nationals Dog Show taking place June 13 through June 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission was free and attendees got to see different dogs competing in social and athletic competitions based on their breed.

Premier is a platform for UKC to showcase “Total Dog” philosphy in which a dog “should not only have the beauty necessary for the traditional show ring but also the ability to perform the functions and duties for which its breed was originally created,” organizers said.

Competition categories and results can be found online.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
