COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Mr. Gorgeous, a dog looking for a home at the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center, is ready for a family to live out his golden years with.
Behavior Coordinator Becca Moster said that Mr. Gorgeous — an 8-year-old pit bull mix — came to the shelter with that name. He was microchipped, but the shelter staff did not have any luck contacting his previous owners.
“He definitely is an explorer, I think he would love to find somebody that would take him on lots of nature walks or little hikes,” Moser said. “Even though he’s eight years old, he’s still spry and has lots of personality and lots of spunk.”

Despite his age, the pit bull mix loves to play fetch and tug, and thanks to being on the gentler side, Moser said he could also get along with kids. She noted he even brings a toy to a person to encourage them to play, specifically tug.
“He would play fetch for hours if you would let him,” Moser said. “When you stop tugging, he will kind of shove the toy at you to keep on playing, so it’s really cute to see how he likes to play with toys, but also likes to play with his person.”
Mr. Gorgeous is available for meet-and-greets at the Franklin County Dog Shelter, located at 4340 Tamarack Blvd. in Columbus, and costs just $18 to adopt. Below are some additional dogs up for adoption as well:
