BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Four thieves are at large after snatching designer handbags from two people waiting in line outside a boutique in Beverly Hills on Saturday, police said.
The robbery took place on the 400 block of North Rodeo Drive, according to NBC 4, which posted video recorded by a witness that appears to show the robbers fleeing and the victims struggling on the ground. Officers responded to the scene at around 1:20 p.m. Saturday, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.
The incident began when one of the four suspects pulled out a handgun. A fight broke out between the victims — one man and one woman — and the suspects, police said.

During the fight, the suspects forcibly took a designer handbag from each victim. The bags contained cash and cell phones. The suspects also unsuccessfully attempted to steal the man’s jewelry, police said.
One cell phone was recovered nearby, police said.

The victims were treated at the scene by paramedics. They decided to go to the hospital in their own vehicle for further treatment, police said.
Police did not provide descriptions of the suspects.
