NEW YORK (WKRC) – Five puppies that were being sold out of a rolling canvas grocery cart were rescued by police just in time.
NYPD posted a video of the situation that one of the officers recorded on its bodycam.
Police said the woman was selling the puppies on the corner of the street.
The puppies were soaked in sweat and dehydrated by the time officers arrived.
“These dogs could’ve been dead in five minutes,” said an officer in the bodycam footage.
They were rescued before serious injury, according to police.
