At Peggy Adams Animal Rescue in West Palm Beach, FL, young puppies who barely understand what it means to land a forever home get adopted in a flash. Day after day, staff members watch as visitors make endless enquiries about the young puppies available for adoption. What they don’t see, though, is the mama dogs at the rescue getting even half the attention that puppies receive.
Princess, Luci, and Melody are extraordinary mama dogs who’ve poured their whole hearts and souls into nurturing the fragile lives they brought into this world. These three lovely pups are proud mums because the babies they raised have already left the rescue for a better life. Sadly, Princess, Luci, and Melody are still waiting for their happy ending.

It’s hard to understand why they’re being overlooked, yet they’ve proven, through motherhood, that they’re capable of loving others more than they love themselves.
This past Mother’s Day, everyone at the rescue had high hopes that Princess, Luci, and Melody would finally receive their biggest desire: a home to call their own. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen. One thing’s for sure, though: Mother’s Day may have come and gone, but their longing for a loving forever home still sits heavy in their hearts.

1. Princess
2-year-old Princess can give a TED Talk on what it’s like to raise a litter of eight puppies. Now that this chapter of her life is over, Princess is ready for the next one, where she gets to be your whole world. 2. Melody
Melody has done an incredible job raising six puppies, and she’s now all about finding her own happiness.
You can’t convince this 2-year-old mixed breed that the best place to be in this world isn’t right next to your favorite person. Melody is the type of dog who believes in quality time, so that means nothing gives her joy more than bonding with her humans.
She’s an affectionate, playful pup who enjoys going on adventures, walks, and car rides. We promise you, Melody will teach you all the best-kept secrets on how to let loose and have fun, because that’s her specialty. She’s good with other dogs, loves to snuggle, and walks perfectly on the leash.

3. Luci
A mom of seven puppies, 2-year-old Luci just wants someone who will spoil her with endless pets. Luci is big on physical touch, so the quickest way to her heart is through petting her.
Luci is a playful girl who will keep you thoroughly entertained with her goofy antics. She is a fan of all things outdoors, but don’t get us wrong — as energetic as he is, she won’t turn down any opportunity to cuddle with you. Oh, we also have to alert you that Luci’s obsession with toys is out of this world, so expect to spend slightly more than you had planned when she accompanies you to the pet store.
