Therapy dogs help Mount students ‘paws’ and relax

NEWBURGH- With the end of the semester only days away and finals looming, a group of therapy dogs offered a stress-relieving break on Wednesday, April 30 to busy Mount Saint Mary College students.

According to research, spending time with, petting, or observing animals can reduce heart rate and blood pressure and lower stress.

The dogs were provided by Hudson Valley Paws for a Cause. At the college, the popular event has evolved into a tradition. This event took place at the Mount’s Kaplan Family Library and Learning Center, which co-sponsored the event with Counseling Services, Disability Services, and the Student Government Association.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
