
Some 10 or so pairs of dog-handlers and their charges fill a room at the Park County Search and Rescue Building, arranged in a large circle. The handlers sit in chairs. The dogs, leashed, lie beside them on their fabric preference – blanket, pad or throw. A handful of others sit in chairs, dog-less and interspersed among the handlers.
