ANN ARBOR, MI – Ann Arbor Public Schools is finalizing new rules to clarify ownership and use of therapy animals a few weeks after settling a lawsuit with a former teacher over the disputed ownership of a dog.
In May, former AAPS teacher Alexandria Fata filed a lawsuit against the district, alleging a school principal stole Gracie, a therapy bernedoodle, from her after she said she was leaving the district.
