Therapy dog gets spotlight in Wausau Police Department’s latest podcast

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – The latest episode of the Wausau Police Department’s podcast focuses on one of its newest staff members: Timber the therapy dog.

In the episode, her handler, Officer Nick Stetzer spoke about the work they are doing in schools and how therapy dog programs started here in Wausau.

“I had a dog that originally was going to be a hunting dog…. found out very quickly that he wasn’t very good at that. Was just chilling at home every day. So I decided I was going to do therapy classes with my dog Badge at the time to see if I could bring them into the school and help with mental health,’ Stetzer said.

This is Timber’s first year as a therapy dog. Badge retired at the end of the 23-24 school year.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
